Eighth grade San Domenico Students in Wynn Richards' history classes produced short iMovies using iPads on a range of topics while studying the American Revolution. Students used the newscast iMovie theme to create exciting interviews and breaking-news style broadcasts on the Boston Massacre, Boston Tea Party, signing of the Declaration of Independence, women during wartime, and unfair taxation. They incorporated photos, video clips, green screens, titles, sounds, and scriptwriting in the final products. Those with editing and filming skills taught the others. Everyone was engaged and had a lot of fun with this group project!
